Utah kicker Jordan Noyes is transferring, announcing the move on his Instagram Thursday. The Australian walked on to the team in 2020, handling the majority of kickoffs in 2021 and making two field goals and 21 PATs. Noyes handled field goal duties through the first seven games of the 2022 season, but the job went to Jadon Redding after Noyes missed a kick in both the UCLA and USC games in October. Redding kicked field goals through the Pac-12 championship, but left the team ahead of the Rose Bowl. Noyes was a perfect 4 for 4 on PATs against Penn State. Noyes finished his career at Utah 8 for 12 on field goals and a perfect 55 for 55 on PATs. - Deseret News

2022 ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM: DB - Jack Howell, So., Colorado State,...Howell, who was named a freshman All-American a season ago and earned midseason All-American honors this season by Pro Football Focus (PFF), led the nation's defensive backs with 108 total tackles and 9.8 tackles per game – the second-best mark in the league overall. He joins his father, John, as the first-ever father-son duo in Mountain West history to be recognized as all-conference performers. The Howell's are believed to also be the first father-son duo to earn all-conference honors in program history as well. The Fort Collins, Colo., native is also Colorado State's first-ever underclassman defensive back to earn first- or second-team while a member of the Mountain West and first to do so by a Ram since Greg Myers as a freshman (1992) and sophomore (1993). 2022 ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM: WR - Tory Horton, Jr., Colorado State,...Horton, the league-leader in receiving yards (1,131), receptions (71), and receiving yards per game (94.3), wrapped up his Biletnikoff Watch List junior season as one of the nation's most feared wideouts. His season totals put him at No. 8 in yards, No. 10 in receptions, and No. 11 in touchdown receptions (8) for a single season. Against his fellow juniors in school history, the yardage total was the second-most ever and the receptions total was the fourth-most.

Horton is Colorado State's seventh receiver to earn first-team All-Mountain West honors and first since Warren Jackson's 2019 honor made it six-straight years with a first team selection at wideout. Horton joins Jackson, Preston Williams (2018), Michael Gallup (2017, 2016), Rashard Higgins (2015, 2014), David Anderson (2003), and Pete Rebstock (2000) as first-team honorees. A weapon any time he touched the ball, Horton also received honorable mention designation by the voters as a punt returner. Kobe Johnson rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns and Dawson Weber intercepted two passes to lift No. 3 seed North Dakota State to a 35-32 win over seventh-seeded Incarnate Word in the semifinals of the NCAA Division I Football Championship on Friday, Dec. 16, before a crowd of 12,569 at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome. Weber's second interception with 1:13 left in the game sealed North Dakota State's 10th trip in 12 years to Frisco, Texas, for the FCS national championship game, where the Bison (12-2) will play either No. 4 seed Montana State or No. 1 seed South Dakota State on Sunday, Jan. 8. Incarnate Word (12-2) jumped out to a 16-0 lead in the first quarter, but NDSU took a 17-16 lead before halftime with a 27-yard Griffin Crosa field goal, Johnson's 4-yard touchdown run and Cam Miller's 2-yard TD run. Johnson's 49-yard TD run in the third quarter gave the Bison their biggest lead of the night, 24-16.

UIW responded with a 15-play, 75-yard scoring drive capped by quarterback Lindsay Scott's 1-yard run,a nd Scott added another 1-yard TD run on the Cardinals' next drive to give UIW a 29-24 lead. The teams traded field goals with Crosa connecting from a career-long 47 yards and UIW's Carson Mohr converting a 41-yarder to keep the Cardinals ahead 32-27 with 9:38 to play. Johnson's 31-yard touchdown run put NDSU ahead with 8:11 left, and wide receiver Braylon Henderson tossed a two-point conversion pass to tight end Joe Stoffel for a 35-32 lead. Johnson averaged 9.1 yards on 15 carries for the Bison and Miller finished with a career-high 18 carries and 132 yards on the ground. Three Rams announced in the past couple of weeks their intentions to enter the NFL draft. Outgoing seniors linebacker Dequan Jackson and defensive lineman CJ Onyechi, along with junior Greg Laday, made their announcements via social media in the last week. Jackson finished his five-year CSU career with 322 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 27 tackles for loss and four fumble recoveries. Onyechi, who transferred to CSU after five seasons at Rutgers, finished his final season at CSU with 58 tackles, 3.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss. Laday, who transferred to CSU after three seasons at Northern Colorado, had 19 tackles in 10 games in his one season for the Rams. - Denver Post

Defensive line star Mohamed Kamara announced on Tuesday via Instagram his intention to return in 2023. It will be his fifth season as a Ram, using his NCAA-granted extra year of eligibility due to playing in the COVID 2020 season. Kamara was second-team all-Mountain West in 2022. He was second in the conference in tackles for loss (16) and fourth in sacks (8.5). "The 2022 season meant a lot to me and the direction of this program. Individually, there was success, but there is a lot left to accomplish. I want to be a major part of bringing this program back to the championship level everyone in that locker room knows it can be," Kamara wrote in his post announcing his return. The 6-foot-1, 250-pound defensive end has played in multiple positions in his career and 2022 was his first as a full down lineman edge rusher. Kobe Johnson ran for 206 yards and two touchdowns, quarterback Cam Miller also ran for two scores and third-seeded North Dakota State pounded Montana 49-26 in the second round of the FCS playoffs on Saturday. The defending and nine-time champion Bison (10-2) piled up 453 yards on the ground and turned three turnovers by the Grizzlies (8-5) into 21 points. North Dakota State is home against sixth-seeded Samford in the quarterfinals next weekend. Corbin Walker returned a Miller interception 58 yards early in the second half to pull the Grizzlies within 21-20. The Bison responded and scored on four of their next five possessions.

Johnson had touchdown runs of 75 and 73 yards and TaMerik Williams had a 68-yarder. After that NDSU went 87 yards in nine plays, capped by TK Marshall's seven-yard TD run. Miller had the first two scores of the game on 10-and 68-yard runs. Montana's Lance Johnson had a rushing touchdown but the quarterback was knocked out of the game when he was sacked and fumbled with Cole Wisniewski recovering in the end zone late in the first half. Avery Morrow ran 26 times for 147 yards and two second-half touchdowns to help Colorado State rally and beat Hawaii 17-13 Saturday. Morrow capped a 13-play, 80-yard drive that took more than 7 minutes off the clock with a 10-yard touchdown run that gave the Rams their first lead with 1:28 to play. Clay Millen completed 17 of 24 passes for 177 yards and added 53 yards rushing on 12 carries for Colorado State (2-5, 2-1 Mountain West). Matthew Shipley opened the scoring with a 27-yard field goal about 5 minutes into the game and Brayden Schrager threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Caleb Phillips midway through the second quarter before Shipley kicked a 23-yarder as time expired to give Hawaii (2-6, 1-2) a 13-3 lead at halftime. Michael Boyle kicked a 43-yard field goal as time expired to lift Colorado State over Nevada 17-14 on Friday night to end a 10-game losing streak dating to last season. It was Colorado State's first win since a 36-7 victory at New Mexico on Oct. 16, 2021. Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi led the Rams 53 yards in just over two minutes to set up Boyle's game-winning kick. Boyle missed a 48-yard field goal attempt, but got another shot when Nevada was penalized for running into the kicker. It was the Rams' only score on offense. Avery Morrow had 168 yards rushing on 24 carries for Colorado State (1-4, 1-0 Mountain West Conference). Fowler-Nicolosi was just 11-of-22 passing for 78 yards with two interceptions.

Ayden Hector had a 21-yard interception return for a touchdown for Colorado State. Mukendi Wa-Kalonji scooped a fumbled ball near the logo and ran untouched along the right sideline for 50 yards into the end zone to stretch the Rams' lead to 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. Toa Taua ran over a defender and into the end zone for a 4-yard touchdown that capped a 17-play, 99-yard drive to pull for Nevada (2-4, 0-2) to 14-7 with 14 seconds remaining before halftime. Taua's 2-yard scoring run tied the game 14-14 with 8:53 remaining. It was the Wolf Pack's fourth straight loss. - Colorado State/AP College Football
